SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Padres have designated newly acquired outfielder Hector Olivera for assignment after he came off the restricted list Tuesday following an 82-game domestic violence suspension.The Padres traded outfielder Matt Kemp and $10.5 million for Olivera on Saturday. Olivera was arrested April 13 at a hotel near Washington D.C., and Major League Baseball announced May 27 that he had agreed to the suspension, which was retroactive to April 30.
