Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Balanced scoring and a dominant fourth quarter helped the NBAs hottest team to another win on Sunday. Kyle Korver hit 5-for-7 from long distance and led eight Hawks in double figures with 19 points as the Atlanta Hawks toppled the Washington Wizards 120-89 for their eighth straight win. DeMarre Carroll gave 16 points with four steals, Al Horford netted 15 points and Jeff Teague had 11 with a game-high 10 assists for Atlanta, winners in 22 of 24 since a 7-6 start. Its great for us to be able to win at home like that, said Horford. Atlanta has a 3 1/2 game lead on Toronto and Chicago for best record in the East. It kicks off a stretch of four road games in five days in Philadelphia on Tuesday. John Wall paced the Wizards with 15 points and eight assists, but he committed eight of their 20 turnovers. Atlanta turned the ball over just nine times as a team. Washington coach Randy Wittman said the team put itself behind the eight- ball with the turnovers. An 8-2 run early in the third quarter helped the Hawks turn a five-point halftime lead into a 64-54 advantage. Walls jumper near the midpoint of the period had Washington within two when three Carroll free throws sparked another Hawks run. Pero Antic and Carroll hit 3s on consecutive touches on the 13-2 flurry, which Thabo Sefolosha capped with a tip-in at 1:19. Sefolosha followed his trey four minutes into the fourth with a drive and dish to Mike Scott for a layup. His outlet pass to Scott on the next possession led to a transition jam, a 20-point Hawk lead and a timeout. The Hawks outscored Washington 33-12 in the fourth to create the lopsided final. Cedric Paquette Jersey .Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have been neck and neck all season, with 17 points separating the rivals and double points on offer for the race.Tensions between them have spilled over during the campaign and the pairs fragile relationship was evident during Thursdays pre-race news conference, when Rosberg goaded Hamilton by advising him to race cleanly. http://www.lightninghockeystore.us/Yanni-Gourde-Jersey/ . Gustafsson controlled the first round after getting top position on a throw, and came out much more forcefully in the second, buckling Manuwa with a Muay Thai knee, and finishing him off with strikes on the ground. As TSN reported Thursday, the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport is under intense pressure from the federal government to focus drug testing on athletes who compete in international events representing Canada. Since funding for the tests has been frozen and the cost of testing can eclipse $1,000 per test, university athletes in a number of sports are being tested less often. Nikita Kucherov Lightning Jersey .Bacca took advantage of Cristian Alvarezs hesitation to head a lobbed pass over the goalkeeper and then used his feet to roll the ball into an empty net in the eighth minute. The Colombia strikers 10th goal pulled him level with Lionel Messi as the leagues third-leading scorers, far behind Cristiano Ronaldos runaway tally of 23 goals.Josh Neiswander is getting a leg up on the competition and is becoming a serious heir apparent to Anthony Calvillo at the quarterback position. “The more game experience he gets, hes going to get better,” offensive tackle Jeff Perrett said after the Alouettes 17-12 win against Saskatchewan on Sunday. Neiswander was head coach and GM Jim Popps first choice to replace Anthony Calvillo after A.C.s concussion in Saskatchewan on August 17. He started the next game at home against B.C. but threw an early pick and was only 1-3 before being replaced by Tanner Marsh. Marsh was easily the fans choice to be under centre the rest of the way with his gun-slinging style and dramatic flair. However its been two games in a row with no interceptions for Neiswander, which is something Marsh has never done: he has eight interceptions and only three starts as Montreals QB this year. Neiswander has turned into the teams default quarterback with Calvillo and now Marsh on the 9-game injury list. Its been a full rotation at the position all season long for the Alouettes: from Calviilo to Neiswander to Marsh back to Neiswander. One has to wonder when itll be former Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smiths turn. “We wanted to pllay him more than we did, but Josh was doing well and we didnt want to get him out of rhythm,” Popp said following Sundays game whereafter Smith got only two plays under centre.dddddddddddd Smith threw his first CFL pass and completion against the Roughriders Sunday – a 54 yarder – before Jerome Messam fumbled a couple yards from the end zone. Smith fumbled on his other snap. With all the changes, one can only wonder about creating any chemistry between quarterback and receiver. “As far as chemistry with Josh, I think at this point the receiving corps is ready to get chemistry with anybody. Whether its Troy, whether its Marsh who comes back or even the new guy that came in, as far as Sidewinder(Neiswander)he found a way to get us a win,” veteran receiver Arland Bruce III said of Montreals QB situation. Winning will help anyone secure their spot behind centre. If Anthony Calvillo comes back from his concussion this season or not, no one can predict his future with the Alouettes. The 2014 season is a long way away but the competition for the “next guy” has already begun between Neiswander, Marsh and Smith. Lucky for Neiswander, hes the one with the ball. ' ' '
