A defence of the Magic Millions Sprint at the Gold Coast is the main objective for Husson Eagle who begins his latest campaign in a Listed race at Sandown.Husson Eagle is a $6.50 chance in Saturdays Doveton Stakes (1000m) and while trainer Patrick Payne believes he will run well first-up and a win would not surprise, he has also warned that the geldings main target is still another nine weeks away.Hes normally got a good record fresh, but were planning to peak him on Magic Millions day, Payne said.Husson Eagle won the $1 million Magic Millions Sprint last season and Payne said it was an ideal target again.Payne took Husson Eagle to Sandown on Tuesday for a gallop in company with another horse in preparation for his return in the Doveton Stakes.Payne rode the lead-out horse in the gallop while his Melbourne Cup-winning sister Michelle rode Husson Eagle and will be aboard on Saturday. We werent there to test his ability. He was more there just to get him away from home for a day out but I thought he worked well, Payne said.Michelle said she didnt fully extend him but he felt good to her.I think the Sandown lay-out suits him. He has plenty of time to find his feet and balance up and run on.While the gelding went into last years Magic Millions Sprint at his third run from a spell, Payne said because he is a another year older he is looking to send him into the race on January 14 at his fourth start. He is planning to start the gelding twice in Melbourne before either running him at Canterbury or in Brisbane before the Magic Millions.Swell Bottle Ombre Canada .500 on the season. Fantasy Six-a-Side David de Gea - The best goalkeeper in the Premier League for me and even if he doesnt keep a clean sheet youd image hell have a few saves to make, with plenty of Spurs players liking an effort from range.Toby Alderweireld - Hes been the key component in the best defence in the Premier League this season and has to be in my side against a goal-shy United side.ddddddddddddJuan Mata - Hes the man that makes things tick for United and if they are to win this game then theyll be relying on him creating plenty of chances.Christian Eriksen - One of the unsung heroes of this Spurs team, having carried them for much of last season. Six goals and 11 assists this term are enough for him to make my team. Christian Eriksen set up Harry Kanes equaliser at Liverpool Jesse Lingard - My wild-card pick. Hes been a bit hit and miss this season and Ill be hoping he can produce one of his spectacular efforts.Charlie Nicholas (the challenger)Harry Kane - Well its an easy first pick for me. How can you not go with the Premier Leagues top goalscorer?Anthony Martial - Im a bit surprised hes not one of the Elite Players given hes Uniteds top goalscorer, albeit with a fairly modest eight goals. Anthony Martial: Uniteds main threat according to Charlie Christian Eriksen - Eriksen is a must-have for me. Hes got to be one of the top chance creators in the Premier League and one of the bet set-piece specialists around.Toby Alderweireld - With Manchester United averaging little over a goal a game I have to have a Tottenham defender in there and Alderweireld also has a goal in him.Eric Dier - Id be surprised if he didnt end the game with the most completed passes because of the role he plays, getting the ball off defenders and providing the link to their attack.Chris Smalling - For all the criticism United have received, you cant look past the fact that theyve got more clean sheets than any other team and this man has to claim much of the credit.Who makes your VI?
